Abstract:
This session offers a deep dive into the entrepreneurial journey from academic research to market execution. Over the course of 150 to 180 minutes, we will explore the dynamic world of startups, gaining insights into the necessary steps to transform cutting-edge research into successful business ventures. The workshop will consist of an overview of the startup ecosystem, highlighting the critical pathways from ideation to market realization. Participants will learn about the challenges and strategies related to funding innovative ideas and will examine case studies of successful academic spin-offs, followed by a Q&A session to address specific questions and discuss challenges.
Speaker Bio:
Georges Khneysser is the founder and Chief Vision Officer of QBIT Capital AG, based in Zurich. Georges has 35 years of experience in the Capital Markets, Debt and Currency trading, Private Equity, Private Market and Venture Capital investing. Georges brings an extensive global network, having lived and worked in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and California. Georges is passionate about quantum physics, chess, contemporary art, and watchmaking.
